One of my favourite tools for marketing is the blog, a simple and often a free tool that you can really pour all of your marketing and recommendations into unique and useful blog posts, that you can add targeted keywords and make your blog posts like articles of quality content.

When it comes to blogging, people get frustrated with the idea as they can't separate the idea of earning quickly overnight like many internet marketers would have you believe from the actual earning and the monetization of a blog, there are many ways of gearing your blog up for earning, but it takes a concentrated effort and a long term one at that.
First you've got to pick a topic and stick to that topic for your blog, as there is nothing worse than a blog that starts off all focused and then starts to be an every topic blog that becomes an untargeted mess of content.
Making money from blogging won't happen straight away and you can expect to earn in the long term after about 6 months to a year or even more, as it is quite competitive these days with blogging as a source of income.

But essentially, this ebook resource goes through some of the blogging best practices that you should be doing and it incorporates these into a month long plan of what you should or could do for your blog, but what Wayne found helpful about this ebook was that you could follow it at your own pace with the daily tasks and you don't have to do all of the tasks mentioned, but it is recommended that you do to see what works well for you and your blog.

Monetizing Your Blog

When trying to add advertising to your blog it is best to know what's on offer, so you can make up your own mind what to use on your blog and also to know how to use them effectively on your blog. There are a range of Advertising sites that have the codes to add to your site and here are a list of some of the best ones that probloggers use on their blogs and I'll evaluate and add more once I've tested them out:-

Kontera - A blog plug in, that delivers high quality text links that pay when someone clicks on the ads that pop up in the form of a preview ad box.

Linkworth - A text link service.

Google Adsense - Adsense is one of the most well known contextual ad networks there is and it is the most used by webmasters and bloggers around the world, all you do is put the code for the ads on your blog or around relevant content and the ads will show relevant results for the content that is being displayed and you earn from the clicks and impressions that the ads generate, but never click your own ads as this is click fraud and you'll lose your Adsense account.

Chitika - This is similar to Adsense were relevant advertisements are served up based on the surrounding content and you earn from the impressions of those ads and plus there is an affiliate referral option were you could earn 10% of the sign ups earnings.
